H131-182 Slimline emergency stop for flush fronted doors

Emergency stop mechanisms on commercial WC doors are an essential feature that support both user safety, privacy and responsible building management. In the event of a medical emergency, fall, or other incident, emergency release systems allow staff or first responders to access a locked cubicle quickly, potentially saving lives. This is especially important in high-traffic or unsupervised facilities where immediate assistance might be needed. In addition to improving safety, these systems help ensure compliance with building regulations and accessibility standards. Many local building regulations require emergency override functions. Omitting them can result in non-compliance, potential legal liability, or serious consequences in the event of an emergency.

Well-designed emergency stops also maintain user privacy. Under normal conditions, the cubicle remains fully secure, with emergency access available only when clearly needed. This ensures that dignity is preserved while still allowing intervention in urgent situations.

The H131-182 is a narrow faceplate version of our standard plunger stop. Designed to work within a 44mm thick WC cubicle system, the H131-182 helps reduce the risk of break out when machining the mortice.
