HI-LOAD LIFT-OFF HINGES

HI-LOAD lift-off hinges come as two separate leaves the door leaf and frame leaf, hence they are handed – left & right. The frame leaf is always the male leaf and the door leaf the female equivalent. Lift-off hinges allow the door to be removed without unscrewing the leaves themselves. All lift-off hinges are supplied with radiused corners as standard.

New to the range are Adjustable Lift-off hinges (see H201-120&121)

HI-LOAD hinges are tested with the fixings supplied. Any substitution of these fixings may affect final performance. Most are suitable for fire doors, are Certifire approved, CE marked and conform to BS EN 1935.

Rising & falling butts

Rising & falling butts are a form of lift-off hinge that either cause the door to “fall” shut on, for example, a WC cubicle (falling butts) OR cause the door to rise, for example, over carpet or thresholds (rising butts).

To ensure correct working, pairs of rising butts must be fitted co-axially with screws supplied. Rising and falling butts are not to be confused with the HI-LOAD range in that they require regular maintenance. After fitting the cam faces and pin must be lubricated with grease supplied, following the manufacturers
